The construction of Rammed Aggregate Piers using the X1® system is a combination of the replacement (GP3®) and displacement (IMPACT®) methods.

This system is constructed by drilling a pre-hole, similar to the GP3® system, through which a patented hollow rammer is lowered. This rammer features a gravel retention and release system similar to that used in the IMPACT® system.

The rammer is attached to a mast with IR beam characteristics, which in turn is connected to a high-frequency vibration system.

It is the ideal solution for improving loose sands, silts and soft clays, mixed soils, organic soils, and uncontrolled fills.
